Development of a 3D film dosimeter for the investigation of the radiotherapy interplay effect

Summary of Research: Radiotherapy of a moving target poses a challenge to ensure that the entirety of the target receives the intended dose. However, dynamically modulated treatments of moving targets must also consider the interplay of the MLC modulation and the target motion. The goal of this project is to develop and characterize a 3D film dosimeter for the quantification of the interplay effect.
