Cal Lab PhD student Miguel Angel Fores Mancera is entering the home stretch of his PhD studies and attended the UW graduation ceremony. He was hooded by his proud PhD advisor, Dr. Wesley Culberson. Miguel’s dissertation covered his various projects related to radiation detection of ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) radiation therapy. He investigated the effects of high intensity beams on detectors, electrometers, and phantom materials. We congratulate Miguel on his academic achievements, but he will be missed around the lab. Miguel will be heading to a clinical therapy residency at UW-Madison, which starts July 1, 2026.
