Kilovoltage X-ray Dosimetry for Cone Beam Computed Tomography

Summary of Research: With the growing popularity of daily image guidance in radiation therapy treatments, there is a need to assess the total dose from the imaging procedures. Improved kilovoltage dosimetry techniques will be developed and an anthropomorphic phantom will be developed to measure the dose from the onboard cone-beam CT image. The project will include the use of multiple dosimeters, including TLDs and ion chambers, as well as Monte Carlo simulations.
